#BreakTheBias is inspiring.

It is important to recognise that the bias is not simply an external enemy; it also sits inside the vast majority of us, ambushing our best efforts for equality in barely perceptible ways.

It peeks out when we teach our boys to be gentle with their sisters, but not their brothers or themselves. It slips off our tongues when we tell our girls how beautiful they are, before affirming their strength.

We #BreakTheBias when we raise our girls secure in the importance of their contribution to the world, and our boys to expect girls to show up in life, in full force; when we demonstrate to boys that they can make space for that power without having to give away theirs.
