Success and failure.

Many times, we mistakenly think of failure and success as being at opposite ends of the spectrum, when in fact they are closely interrelated. Giving ourselves and our children the permission to make mistakes is giving an invaluable gift that not only creates room for success, but also builds resilience.

A simple and easy way to keep on track is to recite this affirmation from The Virtues Project:

“I am determined. I set goals and keep going until I achieve them. I get things done. I stay on purpose.”

Failure is not lethal. You can’t succeed if you’re not even in the game. So…Play! Try! Fail! Grow!

And remember:

“If you haven’t got a ticket, you haven’t got a chance!” ~ That’s what Mrs. Red said!
